Марфа was born in 1762.  Марфа's father was Петр Григориев Хрущ and her mother was Васса Трофимиева (Иоаннова) (Хрущ). She had five brothers named Григорий, Иоанн, Прокопий, Матфей and Фома.  She was the third youngest of the six children.
