Евтихий was born in 1776.  Евтихий's father was Иоанн Василиев Чичкан and his mother was Евдокия Феодорова (Чичкан).  His paternal grandparents were Василий Феодосиев Чичкан and <Unknown>. He had five brothers named Иоанн, Кондратий, Исай, Димитрий and Николай.  He was the youngest of the six children.
