Eric (Jim) Gordon Smith

Eric, known as Jim, was born in 1906 in Coventry, England.  Jim's father was Charles Albert Smith and his mother was Elizabeth West.  His paternal grandfather was Jonathon Smith and his paternal grandmother is Emily Payne. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Keneith, Lovelace, Ronald, Queenie, Maise and Ivy Berryl.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.
