Cornell's father is Robert Lewis Wallace and his mother is Bernice Smith. His maternal grandparents are Tom Ned Smith and Veola Ross. He has two brothers and four sisters, named Victor, Kevin, Carolyn, Linda, Zellie and Teresa.
