Edith, known as Edie, was born on October 18th, 1913 in New Britain, CT.  Edie's father was Thomas Dowling and her mother was Thomasine Solver Bennett.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Dowling and Kate Quirk; her maternal grandparents were Frank B Bennett and Carrie Louise Moore. She had a half-brother named Tom.  She died at the age of 79 on September 28th, 1993 in Hartford, CT.  She was buried in Springdale Cemetery, East Windsor, CT.
