David was born on January 28th, 1959.  David's father was John Edgecomb (Meyer) and his mother is Margeret Ann Nagle.  His maternal grandparents were George Frank Nagle and Margaret Wilamenia Corrigan.  Fredrick Meyer and Kay are his grandparents through his father's adoption.  Fredrick Meyer and Kay are his grandparents through his father's adoption. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Mark and Baby Girl.  He is the second oldest of the four children.  He was adopted by Roy Arnold Gommenginger at eight years and ten months old in November 1967 who also adopted Mark and John. He has a half-sister named Sandra.
