Walter was born on June 2nd, 1919 in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Walter's father was Louis Hansen and his mother was Alma Bergstrom (Hansen). He had a brother and a sister, named Harold and Beatrice.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 72 on October 14th, 1991.  The funeral was arranged by Steverson Funeral Home.  He was buried in Veteran's Cemetary, Florida.1
