Aemon's father was Jaehaerys I Targaryen “The Conciliator” and his mother was Alysanne Targaryen.  His paternal grandparents were Aenys I Targaryen and Alyssa Velaryon; his maternal grandparents were Aenys I Targaryen and Alyssa Velaryon. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Aegon, Baelon, Vaegon, Gaemon, Valerion, Daenerys, Alyssa, Maegelle, Daella, Saera, Viserra and Gael.
