Janet was born on July 12th, 1754 in Linlithgow, West Lothian, , Scotland.  Janet's father was James Robertson and her mother was Margaret Huggen (Birch). She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Elizabeth and Marion.  She died at the age of 57 on September 20th, 1811.
