Joseph, known as Marguerite, was born on October 27th, 1717 in Grand Pre, Acadia, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Marguerite's father was Pierre Girouard and her mother was Marie Doiron.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 47 on November 16th, 1764 in Mirebalais, France.
