    Floyd A. Ellis born May 1, 1927 went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2008 at the age of 81 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Henderson Ellis & Annie Lee Yielding Ellis; brothers, John Henderson Ellis, Raymond Bruce Ellis, Charles Alvin Ellis, Clarence Elkanah Ellis (Tommy); sisters, Alma Stella Ellis West, Mattie Ellis Martin, Bertha Lee Ellis Calloway, Emily Louise Ellis Cooley, Hazel Bell Ellis Paige Calloway; Floyd is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Esther B. Ellis; children, Yvonne Ellis, David Ellis, & Cathy Chellette; grandchildren, Rebekah, Joel, Sarah, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lilly and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him very much. Floyd served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant while serving in the U.S. Army. Floyd was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
    
    SERVICES Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 5:00P.M. - 9:00P.M. at Brookehill Funeral Home with a prayer service to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 9:30A.M. with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Brookehill Funeral Home.
