Joannes was born on February 12th, 1789.  Joannes' father was Bartholomeus Algoet and his mother is Carolina Vandenhecke.  His paternal grandparents were Guillelmus Algoet and Maria Vandenhecke. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Felix, Joannes Baptista, Maria Theresia, Rosalia and Isabella.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.  He died at 11 months old on February 11th, 1790.
