Adam's mother was Mary Deas .  His maternal grandparents were Sam ( a farmer) Boles and Elsie Deas. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, Richard, Betty, Joseph, Peter Jr., Lucille, Phoebe and Carrie.
