Queen Isabelle was born in 1188. Queen Isabelle 's father was Count Aymar ( Adhemar) Taillefer of Angoulême and her mother was Alex de Courtenay. Her paternal grandparents were William V Taillefer and Margaret Turenne; her maternal grandparents were Prince Pierre of France and Elizabeth de Courtenay.
