Julie was born on December 6th, 1842 in Bischwiller Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France.1  Julie's father was <Unknown> and her mother was Magdalena Eckstein.  Her paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Michel Eckstein and Marie Therese Wittmann. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles , Gottfroi, Edouard, Carolina and Louise.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died  due to apoplexy at the age of 65 on October 1st, 1908 in Paterson, New Jersey.  She was buried on October 1st, 1908 in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,Totowa, New Jersey.2

They had ten biological sons and a biological daughter, named Louis, Karl , Wilhelm, Auguste, Augustus, Amiel , George, Joseph, Frank , Alfred and Louise.  They also had a foster son named Henry.
