Jonathan was born on July 15th, 1801 in Harmony, Somerset, Maine.  Jonathan's father was Elijah Hamilton Sr. and his mother was Mary Gould.  His paternal grandparents were Gabriel Hamilton ll and Sarah Jane Grant.  He died at the age of 84 on August 19th, 1885 in Aldrich Hotel, Aldrich, Wadena County, Minnesota, On a farm owmed by a Mt.Armstrong in 1892 about a half mile from the station.  He was buried in 1887 in old S.H. Hamilton homestead in Germania Township, Todd Co, MN, 1885 On A Farm Owmed By A Mt.Armstrong In 1892 About A Half Mile From The Station.1 2
