Anthony was a churchwarden in the parish of Fordington, St George, and signed the Bishops Transcripts in that office in 1623 and 1627. He lived there to 1631.
He departed Weymouth, England on the Recovery of London, Gabriel Cornish , master, in Mar 1634. He resided at Charlestown 1634, Hingham 1636, then Marshfield 1653. Freeman 9 Mar 1637. Deputy to General Court six years from 1638 to 1661 at Marshfield. Capt. in militia 1744-45.
"Anthony, Hing. 1636, the same yr. had a house-lot granted him on Lower Plain; was a deputy 1637, 1638, and 1643; frequently a town officer, and involved in the military difficulties of 1644-1645."36
