Arrested in connection with robberies committed by Loyalist Neal Taylor.Jailed in July 1778 and released to the custody of his brother-in-lawWouter Moll of Kinderhook. Gerrit's mother was arrested and jailed alongwith his father. Both fell ill and were moved to a hospital.
"Walter Moll" served in the Fourth Regiment of the Albany County Militia.A "Gerrit Kool" served in the Eighth Regiment of the Albany CountyMilitia.
He was listed in the 1790 census as living in Coxsackie Town, AlbanyCounty, NY. In 1800, he was listed as living in Coeyman Town, AlbanyCounty. In 1810, a Gerrit Cole was listed in Onandaga County, NY. Localhistory indicates he was born in Columbia County and moved to OnandagaCounty in 1812.
