Pedar was born in 1634 in Tonstad, Gard, Bakke,  Sirdal, Vest-agder, Norway. Pedar's father was Karl Einarsen Tonstad and his mother is <Unknown>.  His paternal grandfather was Einar Vermundsen Tonstad and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 59 on October 28th, 1693.1
