Ola was born in 1601 in Orsland, Sokndal, Rogaland, Norway.1   Ola's father was Peder Pedersen Orsland and his mother was Olsdtr.  His maternal grandfather was Ola Orsland and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 70 in 1671.1
