Karl was born on August 23rd, 0686 in Herstal, Belgia, Norway.  Karl's father was Pipin II de Heristel and his mother was Alpais Saxonia.  His paternal grandparents were Ansigise Austrasia and St. Begga de Brabant.  He died at the age of 55 on October 22nd, 0741 in Frankrike.
