General Notes
Served several years in the Revolutionary War, was an officer as part of 26th Reg't. under Col. Baldwin. He was raised to degree of Mastor Mason at the garrison at West Point while serving there.
Appointed Ensign August 10,1776, promoted lieutenant 1779 of the Continental line. He was transferred to the Eighth Massachusetts regiment, 1781 and retired in 1783. He served at Valley Forge in May 10, 1777. Served as paymaster. Fought in Trenton.
