Joseph Bailey 
Joseph was born on October 17th, 1701 in Rowley, Essex , Massachusetts. Joseph's father was Nathaniel Bailey and his mother was Sarah Clark. His paternal grandparents were John Bailey and Mary Mighill; his maternal grandparents were Josiah Clark and Mary Boynton. He had four brothers named Nathaniel, Josiah, David and Samuel. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 59 on August 8th, 1761 in Tewksbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts.General Notes
He settled at Rowley and like many others
of this family learned the trade of potter.
According to Early Settlers. They were dismissed in 1735
from the Rowley Church to the church in Newbury

Joseph was born on October 25th, 1737 in Newbury Essex, Massachusetts and his baptism took place there on June 26th, 1737.1 2
