Margaret was born in 1855 in 16 Old Galson, Barvas, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland. Margaret's father was Donald MacKenzie and her mother was Ann Morrison. She had a brother and four sisters, named William, Isabella, Catherine, Mary and Joan. She was the second oldest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Ann. She died at the age of 59 on August 6th, 1914 in 9 North Dell, Barvas, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.-
