John MacKenzie

John was born in 1878 in Lower Bayble, Stornoway, Ross-shire, Scotland. John's father was Alexander MacKenzie and his mother was Mary Smith. His maternal grandparents were Malcolm Smith and Christianna MacLeod. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Murdo, John, Mary, Catherine and Margaret. He was the youngest of the six children.
