Ann was born in 1858 in 8 Adabrock, Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. Ann's father was Alexander Gunn and her mother was Ann Campbell. She had three brothers and a sister, named Murdo, John, Angus and Isabella. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 70 on June 30th, 1928 in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
