David Donald 
David was born in 1835 in St Vigeans, Angus, Scotland. David's father was John Donald and his mother was Magdaline Allerdice. His maternal grandparents were Alexander Allardice and Jean Whanell. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, George, Jean, Elizabeth, Agnes and Betsey. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
