Alexander was born on January 24th, 1879 in Barvas, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.1   Alexander's father was Malcolm Campbell and his mother was Christina Morrison.  His paternal grandparents were Angus Campbell and Mary McKay; his maternal grandparents were George Morrison and Ann MacKenzie. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Louis, William, Dolina, Mary, Annie and Catherine.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 87 on February 28th, 1966 in 4 North Dell, Barvas, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.2
