His paternal grandparents were JOHN Meade and MARY Abrell; his maternal grandparents were MOSES Rhodes and MARY Meade. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, Benjamin, Robert, Samuel, Rhodes, Eli, Robert Ritter, Rueben, Edy, Nancy Katherine 'Kitta", Matilda, Catherine and Abigail. He had a half-sister named Matilda. He died at the age of 77 in 1864 in Floyd, Kentucky, United States.2 -
