Opechancanough was born in 1545 in James River, Buckingham, Virginia, United States. Opechancanough's father was ENESENORE Algonkian and his mother was SCENT Flower. His paternal grandfather was CHIEF Morning Powhatan; his maternal grandfather was DASHING Stream. He had three brothers and three sisters, named CHIEF Wahunsonacock, Opichapam Itoyatin, Apachamo Kekataugh, Scent, Morning and Wowincho. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 100 on October 5th, 1645 in Jamestown, James, Virginia, United States.-
