Patsy's father was JAMES Theopholus Lewis Sr. and her mother was WINNIE I Henson. Her paternal grandparents were NATHANIEL Lewis and LADY Elvira Helton; her maternal grandfather was PAUL Henson and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Thaddeus, Nathan, Absolom, Andrew, Samuel, Isaac, Juder, Joseph "Joe", JOHN, Margaret "Peggy", Winnie II, Mary "Polly", Sally and Betsy Phoebe. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Theophilus, Joseph, Gideon, John, Martha Patsy, Elvira and Betsy.-
