Martha Patsy was born in 1770 in North Carolina, United States. Martha Patsy's father was James Theopholus Lewis Sr. and her mother was Winifred Winnie Henson. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Lewis and Elvira Helton; her maternal grandfather was PAUL Henson. She had twelve brothers and ten sisters, named Gideon, James Theophilus, Joseph, John, Nathan, Absolom, Andrew, Samuel, Isaac, Absalom, Juder, Joshua, Elvira, Margery, Margaret Peggy, Phoebe Elizabeth, Winnie, Mary Polly, Sallie, Pattie, Sallie or Winitree and Rebecca. She had two half-sisters named Mary Polly and Margaret. She died at the age of 78 in 1848.-
