Lydia was born on October 1st, 1820 in Pound, Wise, Virginia, United States. Lydia's father was MASIAS Cyrus I Hall and her mother was NANCY Unisiah Branham Smith. Her paternal grandparents were JESSE I Hall and CANDACIA "Dicy" Hash; her maternal grandparents were JOHN Jacob Smith and SUSANNA Scarbrough. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Jesse II, Esquire "Devil Squire", Jarvey, ELIJAH, Richard, William, Owen, Masias Cyrus II, Elizabeth Betty, Nancy, Pheninah "Pheney", Frances "Frankie" and Angeline Anzy. She was the second youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 60 in 1880 in Robinson Creek, Pike, Kentucky, United States.-
