Maud was born in 1116 in Bramber, Sussex, , England. Maud's father was SIR PHILIP D'Braose and her mother was AENOR D'Totnais. Her paternal grandparents were WILLIAM D'Braose and AGNES D'Saint Clare; her maternal grandparents were JUDEAL Johel D'Totenais and D'Pecguigny. She had three brothers named William D'Braose, William and Richard. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 85 on March 20th, 1201 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, , England.-
