Barzilla was born on September 28th, 1801 in , Lincoln, Georgia, USA. Barzilla's father was Thomas B. Curry Sr. and her mother was Satsa Vann. Her paternal grandfather is Curry; her maternal grandparents were JOHN Joseph "The Interpreter" Vann and WAH Wli Mary Christina Otterlifter. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas B., Wiley, John, Van, David, Lucretia, Lucretia, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 71 on June 22nd, 1873 in Little River, Bell, Texas, USA.-
