Benjamin was born in 1735 in Isle of Wight Parrish, Virginia, United States. Benjamin's father was JOHN Brantley Sr. and his mother was HANNAH Harper. His paternal grandparents were EDWARD Brantley and ELIZABETH Clay; his maternal grandparents were WILLIAM Harper and JUDITH Corker. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, William T, PHILLIP, Joseph, John, Jeremiah, Priscilla, Phillip, Hannah and Mary. He died at the age of 47 in 1782 in Hancock, Georgia, United States.-
