CATHERINE was born in 1633 in Balfour, Fife, , Scotland. CATHERINE's father was ROBERT Bethune and her mother was MARION Inglis. Her paternal grandparents were JOHN I Bethune and AGNES Anstruther; her maternal grandfather was THOMAS Inglis. She had six brothers and a sister, named David, John II, William, James, Robert, Andrew and Janet. She died at the age of 97 on March 6th, 1730.-
