William Riley was born on December 14th, 1862 in , Cherokee, Alabama, USA.1 William Riley's father was Roberson Ashley and his mother was Nellie Ashley. His paternal grandparents were MOSES "DOCTOR" L Sr. Ashley and SARAH Browder. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Nathaniel Green, Ebenezar S, Calep A, Thomas, James T R, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah M, Mary E and Rhoda Safrona. He died at the age of 99 on February 19th, 1962 in , Etowah, Alabama, USA.-
