1858: sold their 164 acres Bowyer Family farm in Bedford Co, Va for $905.00
Census 1860: Living with daughter, Nannie Mary Bowyer Heavener. Until, Nannie moved to Knoxville, Knox Co,Tenn.
1863: Sued for clear title to deed for 164 acres. Son-in-law , David Rice McGhee did not sign property sale.
1868: Clear title is won in court from David Rice McGhee, husband of deceased daughter, Albina Letitia Bowyer.
Census 1870: Elizabeth Bowyer, 67 widow, living with her married daughter, Mrs. Celina J. Bowyer Creasy.
