John Welles
John was born in 1621 in Burmington, Warwickshire, , England.1 John's father was Govenor Thomas Welles and his mother was Alice Tomes. His paternal grandparents are Robert De Welles and Alice Hunt; his maternal grandparents were John Tomes and Ellen Gunne. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Samuel, Joseph, Grace, Mary, Ann and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 38 on August 7th, 1659 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States.1 -
