Swanhilde of Saxony

Swanhilde was born about 0956 in Luneburg, Saxony, Germany.¹ Swanhilde's father was Duke of Saxony Hermann Billung Saxony and her mother was Hildegardis von Westerburg. Her paternal grandparents were Count Billung von Saxony II and Frederunda Hildeburg. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Luitger, Wichman, Bernard I (Benno), Mathilde and Imma. She was the youngest of the six children. She died on November 26th, 1014.²
