Maurice Fitzgerald de Wyndsore

Maurice was born about 1100 in Castle Carew, Pembrokeshire, Wales.¹ Maurice's father was Geraldus Fitzwalter de Wyndsore and his mother was Nest verch Deheubarth Rhys. His paternal grandparents were Walter Fitzotho de Wyndsore and Gladys verch Rhywallon; his maternal grandparents were King Rhys ap Tewdwr and Gladys verch Rhywallon. He had a brother and a sister, named William and Hadewise. He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named The Consul and Maud. He died on September 1st, 1177.²
