Margaret was born about 1275 in Cletheram, Yorkshire, England.1   Margaret's father was Randolph Pigot and her mother was Emma de Coltheram.  Her paternal grandparents were Randolph Pigot and <Unknown>. She had a brother and two sisters, named Geoffrey, Emma and Alice.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
