Jonet Mure

Jonet was born about 1263 in Rowallan, Ayr, Scotland.¹ Jonet's father was Archibald Mure and her mother was Margaret de Montgomerie. Her paternal grandparents were Gilchrist Mure and Isabel Cumming; her maternal grandparents were Sir John de Montgomerie and Margaret Murray. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Andrew and Margaret. She was the second oldest of the four children.
