Eogan Macneill

Eogan's father was Niall Noigiallach and his mother was Roighneach of Britain. His paternal grandparents were Eochaid Mugmedon and Cairenn Chasdubh of Britain. He had seven brothers named Conall, Endae, Coipre, Loegaire, Maine, Conall and Fiachu.

  Eogan, son of Niall Noígiallach, was an Irish king founded the kingdom of Tír Eógan (modern County Tyrone) in the 5th century. He was also the ancestor of the Cenél nEógain dynasty and their septs (O'Neill, O'Docherty, O'Boyle, etc).
