William Colclough

William was born on July 2nd, 1716 in St. Paul's Parish, Stafford County, Virginia.¹ William's father was Benjamin Colclough and his mother was Rachel Bolling. His paternal grandparents were John Colclough and Mary Rivett. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Alexander, Robert, Hester, Margaret, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Rachel and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
