Hannah was born in 1755 in Connecticut.¹

Hannah's father was Rev Joseph Breed and her mother was Priscilla Avery. She had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Avery, Hebe, Nathan and Priscilla. She was the fifth oldest of the six children.
