Cicely Babington

Cicely was born about 1452 in Dethick, Derbyshire, England.¹ Cicely's father was Sir John Babington Sheriff of Derbyshire and her mother was Isabel Bradbourne. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Babington and Isabel Dethick; her maternal grandparents were Henry Bradbourne and <Unknown>. She had a brother and five sisters, named Thomas, Beatrice, Anne, Elizabeth, Isabel and Margaret. She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
