Athanagild of the Ostrogoths

Athanagild was born in 0522.¹ Athanagild's father was King Alaric of the Visigoths II and his mother was Theudigote. His paternal grandparents were King Eorik of the Visigoths and Ragnachilde Susamunde. He had a brother named Amalaric. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 45 in 0567.¹
