Meinhard of Sponheim

Meinhard was born in 1085 in Burgsponheim, Rheinland, Prussia.¹ Meinhard's father was Count Stefan of Sponheim and his mother was Baroness Sofie von Hamm. His paternal grandparents were Graf Stephan von Sponheim I and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Berthold von Hamm I and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and a sister, named Rudolph, Hugo and Jutte. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 70 on February 28th, 1155.¹
